Hi! Thanks for checking out my link. I am a second year student doing my thesis work on climate data from the IPCC's most recent analysis.
My husband (Matt Weber) and I moved here from Bloomington, Indiana July 2006 - just one month after getting married. We brought our beloved pets Jonah (old dog), Pita (old cat), and Sonny (youthful cat). We drove cross-country to get here and it took four days - yes, we tranquilized our cats. The picture below is from the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park - we visited this beautiful spot on our cycling trip through San Fran.
I've been studying meteorology for six years, got my BS in Atmospheric Science from IU and was thrilled to be accepted by SJSU. The program here is solid. The course work is challenging and sets the standard for performance in the field. It is advantageous to come here with a steady background in physics, mathematics, and computer programming.
The department is small and located on the top floor of the science building. The view from the grad room is the best - looks out S, SW. Currently, the hills of Henry Coe State Park are ablaze and the plume can be seen from our windows.
Not only is the view good - but the faculty and staff are a nice addition!
Each class is small - so attention to detail is a priority. Help is abundant. All the professors make themselves available for students. And help can always be found from your fellow grad student - the camaraderie here is unbeatable! Feel free to contact me anytime with questions or comments. Again, thanks for looking and have a great day!
Check out this link to our family photo album filled with our Cali adventures we've had at wineries, mountainsides, citysides, and biking! It's like Jay Farrar said, "Nobody could dream a place like California."
